Happy International Women’s Day!
Posted by Love Life on March 8th, 2010 in Events.
According to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: International Women’s Day (IWD) is marked on the 8th of March every year. It is a major day of global celebration of women. In different regions the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for women’s economic, political and social achievements.
Started as a Socialist political event, the holiday blended in the culture of many countries, primarily Eastern Europe, Russia, and the former Soviet block. In many regions, the day lost its political flavour, and became simply an occasion for men to express their love for women in a way somewhat similar to a mixture of Mother’s Day and St Valentine’s Day. In other regions, however, the original political and human rights theme designated by the United Nations runs strong, and political and social awareness of the struggles of women worldwide are brought out and examined in a hopeful manner.
The IWD is also celebrated as the first spring holiday in the Northern Hemisphere as the first day of March is considered the first day of the spring season.
My prayer for women………
I pray for women all across the globe and particularly women here in the US, to learn to truly embrace each other in earnest. Be happy and secure with yourself so much so you are able to praise each others successes, and be there to lend a hand when the going gets rough and reach back with an extended hand. To put an end to jealousy and envy and except the fact that we are all God’s daughters with a unique purpose that no one can take from you and if emulated never duplicated! God only made one of you!
To enjoy the journey and depend upon God, not man as your guide. Let His Spirit empower you. Learn to lean not upon your own understanding but lean upon His wisdom that will give you Grace for the day and a new Mercy to go out and claim your infinite gifts. Never look back with regrets and wish to be like anyone other than the woman that is uniquely you! Take good care of you and work on yourself constantly so you can love others and give back to so many that are waiting for you to open your gifts and share them with the world!
I am so very proud to be amongst so many great women. Even those that have gone on to Glory, starting with my Mother (RIP) who taught me how to be a woman. How to be secure with myself without being annoying or overbearing towards others. Who was a leader by example with the most kindest giving spirit that I have ever seen to this day. She always said, “don’t just be any ole woman but a woman of substance”. A woman with integrity, kind and thoughtful, yet strong and passionate, not two faced but honest and trustworthy. To love God and always pray and never doubt what you can achieve with God by your side. Oh and so much more really!
Oh happy day my sweet sisters in the spirit out there wherever you are and those that are close to me. Continue to do what you do and ROCK ON! You are always in my prayers which is the best thing I could ever do for you.
All the best! Mary

God Bless You for this awesome way to recognize and encourage women on International Women’s Day. I receive that prayer and will pass this post on to others. May God bless you tremendously.
This blog post should have been published in all local news papers, magazines etc. across this country and even international it is something that we as ladies all across this land should take pride in. Thank you for making me think a little bit more before I say or do something that is not up lifting to any woman I may come across in my life time again.
Thanks Again.
God Bless!
Nothing else describes your passion and love for women of all nations, cultures and walks in life. Beautiful passage straight from the heart. Although we have never met in person, our spirits are kindred. Many blessings to you Mary and every woman who is encouraged and touched by your words of wisdom and love.
With sincerest gratitude,
