A Romantic Sunset

Romance comes in many forms. Romance can be something well thought out like planning an evening of romance with a Love Life Design, or it can be something spontaneous, like chasing a sunset together!

This evening when DH came home, as soon as he walked in the door, he called my name as though it was an emergency. I was at the computer working on an upcoming article for hitchedmag.com, so I jumped up to see what was so urgent. He said, “come with me I want to show you this spot.” As I proceeded out the door wearing no shoes, he said, “grab your shoes we are going for a ride.” Now a few years ago I would probably have questioned him on what, where, and why. In our relationships we must learn to roll with it, and expect the unexpected. Makes life interesting, fun and full of surprises that warm our hearts and opens the door to love.

He was very excited, I was clueless, yet excited too! We traveled about a mile or two when he said to me, “look to your right and see the sun setting.” That is it, that is what he wanted for me to see. He turned left at the traffic light and said, “you can see it fully at the top of the road,” a road that he travels on his way home everyday. We turned into a vacant parking lot and sat there for all of 10 minutes for one of the most spectacular sunsets that I’ve seen in a while. Perhaps it was his excitement that made it so beautiful, or the gesture itself! Either way it tickled my fancy and warmed my heart.

This picture was taken with his camera phone. It doesn’t reflect the beauty of the changing colors of the sun as it was setting into the horizon.

Take time out this weekend, and do something spontaneous in the name of love, for your love!

That’s it, that’s all!

With Love!
